YouTube Star Laci Green To Discuss ‘The F Word’ Tonight

Now that spring break has ended and we’re back to reality, you might be wondering what to do with your first night back at Penn State. Consider spending it with Laci Green, a famous feminist video blogger and sex educator with more than one million followers who is currently touring universities across North America.

Green offers several tour options for universities to choose from, but for Penn State she will be presenting “The F Word” tonight, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. in 100 Thomas. According to her website, “The F Word” takes “an engaging look at the roots of feminism” and discusses “the major causes and challenges of feminism in the 21st century, ‘online feminism,’ and its critics.” In the end, Green aims to “unearth the mechanisms through which the feminist movement is becoming more popular and effective than ever.”

Sponsored by the Center for Women Students and funded by UPAC (your student activity fee at work!), this public event is a great way to learn about the basis of feminism and gender equality without the stigma. If you’re still not sure whether you want to attend, check out one of Green’s most famous videos, “Wanna Have Sex? (Consent 101),” below.
