Zara Larsson To Headline Movin’ On 2026

Zara Larsson will headline Movin’ On 2026, the event announced Friday. The singer will feature alongside The Dare, That Mexican OT, Slayyyter, and the BATTLE winner at the May 1 concert.

Larsson is a Swedish pop singer and songwriter who rose to fame after winning Swedish talent show Talang in 2008, known for breakout singles like “Lush Life.” She released her album “Midnight Sun” in 2025, with the title track earning her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording. She has also released three other albums — “So Good,” “Poster Girl,” and “Venus” — as well as collaborations with Clean Bandit and MNEK.

The Dare is the solo project of Harrison Patrick Smith, a vocalist, songwriter, and producer “known for sharp, dance-rock energy and chaotic, electric live shows.” He has released “The Sex EP” and his debut album, “What’s Wrong With New York?” as well as hosting a signature New York City party, “Freakquencies.” He is also a popular collaborator and producer for big artists, and co-produced PinkPatheress’s “Stateside” remix with Larsson.

The Mexican OT, born Virigl René Gazca, is a new voice in Texas rap, blending Southern hip-hop energy with Tejano influences. His 2023 breakthrough single “Johnny Dang” entered the Billboard Hot 100, and he’s released three albums since: “Lonestar Luchador,” “Texas Technician,” and “Recess.”

Student performer Slayyter, presented by the Student Programming Association, will also be one of the first performers at Movin’ On. She was featured on “ATTENTION!” with Kesha and Rose Gray on Kesha’s most recent album. Slayyter has released three full-length albums, including “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” on March 27.

The winner of BATTLE, the annual Penn State student competition, will open up the festival. The winner will be announced after the competition on March 31.

The annual festival has hosted headline performances from The All-American Rejects, Jack Harlow, and dozens of others dating back to Movin’ On’s inception in 1975.

Movin’ On will be held on the IM fields on the last day of classes on Friday, May 1, and is free to all attendees. Students and attendees must be 18 years old.
