
Registration is now open for the "Toughest Little Marathon in the East" -- the 3rd Annual Mt. Nittany Marathon on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 7:00 AM. All proceeds from the race benefit the Mount Nittany Conservancy, a public charity whose mission is to conserve and preserve Mt. Nittany, the iconic symbol of Happy Valley.

Around 100 prospects took part in the day's events, which included a tour of campus and the team's facilities, along with a rundown of both the program's philosophies and what Penn State has to offer academically.

The State College Borough has announced the LION Challenge Contest, open for all State College community members to submit their unique definition or descriptions of what it means to live in one neighborhood. This slogan contest is open to all community members, and winners will have their submissions published during fall 2015.

From Friday to Sunday, there was a slight increase in total crime, arrests, DUIs, and underage citations compared to last year's State Patty's Day. The total cases, and total calls for service were down 11 and six percent, respectively.
