Penn State Hoops To Take On Boston College In B1G/ACC Challenge

The Big Ten/ACC Challenge schedule was announced today, and for the third time in the last five seasons, Penn State will take on Boston College.

The Nittany Lions will visit BC’s Conte Forum on Wednesday, December 2, looking to win the rubber match between the two teams in the Challenge. The last time Penn State traveled to Chestnut Hill in 2011, it came away with a 62-54 win. The following season, the Eagles made the trip to Happy Valley and won a 73-61 decision. Penn State is 6-7 all-time against Boston College.

Penn State is 2-2 in its last four games in the Challenge. After splitting two games against Boston College in 2011 and 2012, the Nittany Lions fell to Pittsburgh in 2013 before winning a close game last year against Virginia Tech in the Bryce Jordan Center.

This season will be a critical one for head coach Pat Chambers and his team. Top scorer D.J. Newbill and top rebounder Ross Travis won’t be returning, but the team will bring in arguably its best recruiting class in program history to help negate the losses. The Class is ranked No. 40 by 247 Sports.

Ticket information will be announced later this summer. You can check out the full B1g/ACC Challenge schedule here.
