Penn State Athletics Announces Nittany Lion Fan Council

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics announced the creation of the Nittany Lion Fan Council on Tuesday.

The Council, comprised of 25 members, will meet quarterly on the University Park campus starting Monday, July 27. It will serve as a scheduled opportunity for Intercollegiate Athletics to receive feedback from alumni, fans, and students.

“We are excited about creating the Nittany Lion Fan Council and this new opportunity to hear from our fans,” Brad Keen, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing, told Penn State Athletics. “Penn State has passionate and loyal alumni, students, and fans and we want to engage them on a regular basis and get their feedback on all aspects of Penn State Athletics.”

All members will serve on one of five committees during their one-year term. The committees are: game day experience, communications, facilities, sales and ticketing, and redemption and retention.

The idea of the Nittany Lion Council was initiated by recent fan voting to assist in determining the White Out football game for the 2015 season.

If you are interested in being a member of the Fan Council, apply here. A GoPSUsports.com page will be created for council members to submit meeting topics and questions before each of the meetings, and a report with the meetings’ results will be posted after each of the quarterly meetings.
