Creamery Announces New Flavor For 150th Anniversary

The people have spoken.

Thousands of votes later, the Creamery announced today that their Anniversary Flavor is Birthday Cake!

The Berkey Creamery opened flavor voting last month. Voters had three options to choose from: Birthday Cake, Strawberry Cheesecake with Graham Crackers, and Red Velvet. Voters could voice their opinions on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram using the hashtag #Creamery150.

Birthday Cake, according to the Creamery’s Facebook page, consists of a yellow cake batter base, a blue frosting swirl, and frosted cookie freckles. Birthday Cake will be ready for scooping in time for Arts Fest in July.

According to the Creamery’s website, it was a pretty close race. Birthday Cake took the title with 2,097 votes, followed by Strawberry Cheesecake with 2,037. Red Velvet came in with only 1,194 votes.

The Creamery will soon hold a competition to name the flavor.
