GoPSUsports.com Receives Facelift, Includes Live Game Streaming

GoPSUsports.com, the official website of Penn State Athletics, is sporting an all new look just in time for the fall semester.

The site, which helps connect fans to their favorite Penn State teams, underwent a complete site overhaul to give it an updated homepage, while adding in many new features to enhance the fan experience. The site will now feature responsive design, meaning site-goers on a number of various mobile devices with differing screen sizes will receive optimal viewing — an important addition, as many users interact through their phones and tablets.

Free audio and video streaming will also be available at no cost via GoPSUnow, meaning fans will be able to watch a number of different men’s and women’s sporting events streamed live to their devices — including all football, wrestling, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s hockey games broadcasted through the airwaves. James Franklin’s weekly press conference will also be broadcasted through GoPSUnow, meaning fans can keep up to date with weekly happenings within the program. Though they’ll be more accessible to fans, especially those on the go, live-streamed games will still boast a classic, comfortable feel. The distinct voices of broadcasters Steve Jones and Jack Ham will be available to users for free via audio broadcasts of Penn State football games.

The update is a clear sign that times are changing, and it was time GoPSUsports.com adjusted accordingly. People are becoming more and more active and digitized, meaning they’re more likely to be near a computer rather than a radio. New streaming features address this issue, and allow fans to access their favorite coverage of Penn State Athletics from virtually anywhere.

Aside from streaming capabilities, fans will now be able to purchase authentic game-worn merchandise at a fixed rate, with additional memorabilia available through Penn State’s online auctions. Eager shoppers can visit the Game-Worn Store for access to jerseys, clothing items, and more.

While the new features give the site more interactive opportunities for fans, old staples remain untouched. Team schedules, statistics, players profiles, and various site blogs can still be found in their usual locations.

With football season right around the corner, GoPSUsports.com is ready to provide fans with an unparalleled interactive experience.
