Lion Scouts To Celebrate 30th Birthday

Thirty years of successfully walking backwards calls for celebration — and that’s just what the Lion Scouts have planned. The Lion Scouts have spent 30 years showing their love and passion for our school and campus, and will be celebrating their great efforts with any and all Penn Staters today.

The organization will be on the ground floor of the HUB celebrating its 30th birthday today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Of course, like any true Penn State party, there will be enough music, cake, and Nittany Lion pride to go around.

If all of that isn’t enough, a special guest will also be in attendance. President Barron is coming out for the festivities, and is set to arrive at 11:30 a.m.

Whether you’re just looking for a free, sweet treat or want to mingle with the Lion Scouts and the president of our great university, the celebration is well worth attending. It is the perfect opportunity to get to know the Lion Scouts better and ask any questions you may have, all while celebrating a major milestone.

Lion Scouts are an important component in getting potential students excited about Penn State. They give tours throughout the school year and answer any questions incoming student or their families may have. If all that sounds like something you could see yourself doing on campus, Lion Scout applications are due this Friday, so the celebration will be an especially great opportunity for all potential new Scouts.
