Relay For Life To Host “Pink Week” For Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Relay For Life is hostingĀ its annual week of “pink” events.

Relay For Life will kick off the pink festivities with a “Paint PSU Pink” event on Wednesday in the HUB. Because everyone knows, on Wednesdays Penn State wears pink. The annual event will focus on spreading awareness for breast cancer and will feature free food and Relay For Life merchandise. Most importantly, students will be able to tell why they wear pink. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you want to support the cause but don’t own any pink clothing, fear not. For the 21 and over crowd, Relay For Life will again be pairing up with the Phyrst for a Drink for Pink” night. From 8 to 10 p.m. on Thursday night, the bar will be pouring pink beer and accepting donations for breast cancer support. Though there will be a cover, all of the benefits will be directly donated to Relay’s efforts.

So dig out the best pink top in your wardrobe, and stop by one of the events to support breast cancer awareness and Relay For Life.
