2015 Off-Campus Housing Fair To Take Place This Weekend

Despite the benefits of living off-campus, including lower costs, great food right next door (goodbye, East Commons!), and independence, picking the right place to reside in State College can be a bit of a challenge. If there was a list entitled “Ultimate Struggles of the Penn State Student,” finding and reserving off-campus housing would come in a close second to purchasing season tickets without nearly ripping your hair out. But fear not, avid proponents of leaving the dorm lifestyle, the 2015 Housing Fair will answer any and all off-campus living questions and concerns you may have.

The Housing Fair is not a place where students sign leases, but rather an informative environment where local landlords, property managers, and business representatives gather to address off-campus housing inquiries. Salespersons at the Housing Fair will be scheduling tours and showcasing their properties if you decide that off-campus housing is for you.

The 2015 Housing Fair will take place in Alumni Hall of the HUB from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 18. If you’re not quite ready to explore off-campus housing opportunities yet, no worries. The Spring 2016 Housing Fair will take place on Saturday, January 30; same time, same place. Happy housing hunting, Staters!
