Police In Search Of Man Involved In Attempted Sexual Assault On East Foster Avenue

State College Police are currently in pursuit of a male suspect who attempted to sexually assault a woman after grabbing her on the sidewalk.

The attempted assault look place early Saturday morning on the 700 block of East Foster Ave. when a thin, black male walking westbound bumped into a college-aged female walking the other direction. He then reportedly grabbed her arms and tried to sexually assault her on the sidewalk.

According to a police media release, the suspect stopped assaulting the victim after “someone from a nearby building opened a door.” The suspect fled and was last seen running towards the downtown area.

The suspect is described as a black, college-aged male. He is described as skinny and is approximately 5-foot-9 with no facial hair and a thin face. He was reported as wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans.
