‘United For A Cure:’ THON Opening Acts Pump Up The Bryce Jordan Center

The Bryce Jordan Center is packed full of dancers, spectators, volunteers and families. Starting the weekend with a boost of morale, musical acts and performers took to the stage in a pre-THON 2016 bash.

The theme of the pre-show is “United for a Cure.” The took to the stage first and performed its usual rifle routine to a techno music mash up that ended with a Four Diamond.

Musician Asialena followed shortly with an acoustic performance. Ambitions Dance Organization danced to Justin Bieber in red tutus. The African Student Association followed with a dance routine of its own in patterned costumes with tribal music.

Drumline took the stage last and rocked the BJC with thunderous music as fog machines spurted smoke and lights filled the arena.

The performers entertained the audience while students continued flooding through Gate A. The gates open at 4pm, spectators will flood the stands, and the stage will soon be set for THON to officially begin
