Treat Yourself To Insomnia Cookies Benefiting PAWS

When students hear the phrase “Greek Week,” they probably envision a scene from Animal House involving parties and togas. While there may be some of that happening during Greek Week 2016, fraternity and sorority members will also host a fundraiser that everyone in the Penn State community is welcome to participate in.

The fundraiser will be on April 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. at Insomnia Cookies. This year, the money raised through the event will be given to the Centre Country PAWS, a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting animal welfare and safety.

Typically, Greek Week is held in the spring and encompasses various activities meant to unify members of all different Greek Organizations. Another goal of the week is to highlight some of the positive things that Greek Life brings to the community, like their philanthropy. This year, the Insomnia fundraiser aims to unify the Greek and non-Greek communities by working towards a common goal — helping out Centre County PAWS.

And since we all can get behind cookies and puppies, consider treating yourself to some late-night Insomnia on April 12.
