Overheard On Twitter: Kirk Herbstreit Ranks Penn State’s Student Section Best In College Football

As if selling out the student section every year for the past 40 years didn’t reassure you that Penn State has the best student section, College GameDay Analyst and former Buckeye quarterback Kirk Herbstreit reaffirmed the Nittany Lions’ spirited dominance via Twitter:

Many of his Twitter follows seemed to agree with Penn State being at the top and some even threw shade at Wisconsin, the student section he rated a “close” second.

Herbstreit’s number one student section in the country previously received praise from another Buckeye — Urban Meyer, who said Penn State has a top-five atmosphere. Meyer and the rest of Ohio State will have the privilege of experiencing a Nittany Lion student section again when they return to Beaver Stadium on October 22 for this season’s Whiteout game.

If two months is too long for you, relive the 2014 whiteout against Ohio State through a GoPro from the Blue Band.

See you in 60 days, Beaver Stadium.
