Four-Star 2018 TE Pat Freiermuth Chooses Penn State

While James Franklin is busy rounding out his stout Class of 2017 recruiting coup, don’t think he isn’t keeping an eye on the future. He picked up his fourth recruit of the 2018 cycle in four-star tight end Pat Freiermuth out of The Brooks School in Massachusetts, who chose the Lions over schools like Syracuse, Maryland, and Rutgers.

Freiermuth has all the tools, and at 6-foot-4, 225 pound pass catcher can stretch the field, and has a chance to develop into the next great Penn State tight end.

Freiermuth, the No. 249 player on the ESPN 300 list, joins fellow 2018 commits Micah Parsons (five-star defensive end), Justin Shorter (four-star wide receiver), and Chris Bleich (four-star offensive tackle). By the looks of it, Franklin’s 2018 class could surpass next year’s group.
