The Color Run Returns To Penn State September 25

For the fourth year in a row, the “Happiest 5k On The Planet” is coming to Happy Valley. The race, benefiting Penn State Homecoming, will take place on September 25 and presale tickets are now available. Find them on the race website, where the first 1,000 tickets cost $29.99.

The 2016 Tropicolor World Tour introduces a new Tropicolor Zone on the course. Finishers will also be able to enjoy a “Rainbow Beach” (are we sure this isn’t sponsored by Mario Kart?) at the Finish Festival and a “fresh island-style participant kit.” The “Classic Color Runner” ticket includes a t-shirt, embroidered headband, finisher’s medal, color packets, and temporary tattoos.

“The Color Run allows Penn State Homecoming to engage with the community especially because it is a weekend event,” said Homecoming’s Pride Events Director James Boyle. “We are excited to put on such a fun event not only for Penn State students but also for the State College area.”

The race will begin at Medlar Field with the first wave of runners starting at 4:30 p.m. Runners are encouraged to get to the starting line with plenty of time to enjoy a pre-race party with music, dancing, warm-up stretching, and giveaways.

The color run hopes to sell out the event for the fourth time. To get excited for this year’s run, take a look at The Color Run’s promo video for the Tropicolor World Tour:
