Vote Carl Nassib For NFL Rookie Of The Week

Former Penn State Defensive End Carl Nassib is a candidate for the NFL’s Pespi Rookie of the Week Award. Nassib, who was drafted 65th overall by the Cleveland Browns, made his first NFL start this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Nassib racked up three tackles, one sack, and one pass defensed against the Eagles in his NFL debut. Though the Browns lost to the Eagles 29-10, Nassib stood out on a new-look defense for Cleveland, and trend we’ll probably see continue through the rest of the season.

Interestingly, Nassib is up against Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz again this week as he is also one of the five players included in the Rookie of the Week poll. Fans can vote now through Thursday on NFL.com or on Twitter by tweeting “Nassib” and “#NFLROTW.” The NFL offers no deadline for the poll but says they’ll announce the winner on Friday.

Not bad for a walk-on.
