Overheard On #PennStateClownWatch Twitter

When my grandchildren ask me about 2016, I’ll tell them about the time Penn State embarked on a full-blown Monday evening rally because of alleged clown sightings.

The Twitterverse was just as wild. Penn Staters were freaking out about clowns last night online and offline. Here are the best tweets from last night’s pandemonium:

We have no explanation for you, Alexandra.

This is basically Penn State’s new logo.

“Glory days, they’ll pass you by…”

If Joey Julius isn’t prepared to deck some clowns, we’re all screwed.

Please, Joey. You’re the hero we need but don’t deserve right now.

Goodnight, foodscisam.

She has a point.

We can only imagine.

Welcome to 2016, Katie.

It’s really official now.

Look at what we’re doing to the nation.

You can never escape this election season.

Hate it when this happens.
