Penn State-Purdue To Kickoff At Noon

Penn State announced Monday that its upcoming road clash with Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium will kickoff at noon.

According to a release issued by the athletic department, the game will air on either ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2, with the final decision being made following this weekend’s primetime showdown with Ohio State.

Saturday, Oct. 29 will mark the first time since 2012 that the Nittany Lions make the trip to West Lafayette, Ind. Bill O’Brien led Penn State to an easy 34-9 victory over the Boilermakers four years ago. The blue and white also pulled out a 45-21 win at home in 2013 — the last time these two programs met.

In his third year at the helm, James Franklin has the Nittany Lions sitting at 4-2 (2-1 Big Ten) following the team’s bye week. Purdue currently checks in at 3-3 (1-2 Big Ten), but fired its head coach Darrell Hazell on Sunday after three-and-a-half seasons. Penn State owns a 13-3-1 lead in the all-time series.
