Your Guide To Celebrating Halloweekend At The Bars
Because Halloween falls on a Monday this year, students are faced with the dilemma of when to celebrate Halloweekend. Luckily for the 21+ crowd, the bars decided for us. With prizes and costume contests galore, be sure to dress to impress this Halloween. Here are the bar specials we found for Halloweekend 2016.
Shandygaff
According to its Facebook page, the Gaff will host a “Sinners and Saints” (read: devils and angels) party on Monday, Oct. 31. Their theme is Heaven and Hell and the party starts at 9 p.m. with $2 sinners and saints drinks and cash prizes for best costumes. While we’re slightly disappointed there won’t be Halloween-themed liquor pitchers, the Gaff will surely cater to sinners and saints alike.
Indigo
Taking a hint from college students everywhere, Indigo has decided to celebrate Halloween on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Oct. 27-29). The popular bar promises $5,000 in prizes throughout the weekend. Indigo Thursdays usually get ~freaky~ but we’re sure this Thursday will be even freakier. Indigo promises to “do it bigger” than anywhere in Happy Valley, so you have three chances to make it to one of the three celebratory nights.
Cafe 210 West
Cafe will celebrate Halloween with a truly scary event on Oct. 29 — My Hero Zero’s drummer is leaving the band and this will be his final show. They promise it will “surely be the most epic, most drunken, most crazy, most costume-wearing-est performance of any of our careers.” We’re sold.
With a creative costume, you could win a cash prize from one of your favorite bars. If we missed any bar specials around town, let us know in the comments.
