Celebrate 100 Days ‘Til THON 2017

The semester is flying by and before you know it we’ll be spending 46 hours in the Bryce Jordan Center for THON 2017. In fact, today marks 100 days until THON, an annual celebration where the Penn State community comes together to celebrate the efforts thus far and prepare for more THON events as steam picks up toward the big weekend.

From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. the THON community encourages all students to celebrate, with the majority of events taking place in the HUB. There is always a LOT of dancing (including the Line Dance, of course) as well as free food, family speakers, and a giant silent rave and picture on Old Main’s lawn. Here is a full lineup of the celebration events:

11:00am: 100 Days ’til Celebration Kick-Off
12:30pm: THON’s Got Talent Competition
1:20pm: Hair Donation Event
2:15pm: Line Dance
2:30pm: Human Picture, followed by the Silent Rave

If you’re inspired by all the THON in the air and looking to give back, you can stop by Cold Stone Creamery today for some delicious ice cream 5-10 p.m. FTK to cap off the celebration. We dance in 100!

Penn State Things The European Mind Can’t Comprehend

“Europeans would have no idea what to do if they were woken up at 5 a.m. before a noon kickoff against Michigan to start drinking in a damp parking lot in 3 degrees Fahrenheit.”
