James Franklin Says 239 Lettermen Will Be In Attendance On Saturday

Beaver Stadium is going to be rocking on Saturday, but it won’t just be fans in attendance.

Ever since defeating Rutgers, Franklin’s been campaigning to get as many lettermen as possible to return home and support the program in one of the most important games in recent memory. Luckily for Franklin, former Linebacker U legend LaVar Arrington’s been doing most of the “recruiting,” so to speak, and it seems like it’s paid dividends.

239 lettermen have RSVP’d to Franklin, but he’s hoping to reach #300Strong as Saturday inches closer. All week long he’s spoken of the importance of the lettermen’s presence for the current Nittany Lions, and he’s hoping their support will provide the boost his team needs to cruise past Michigan State.

While Franklin wants to see as many lettermen as possible, don’t think he’s forgotten about everybody else.

Franklin hopes to create an atmosphere like no other on an important senior day, and something tells me he’ll be successful. Penn State and Michigan State kick-off at 3:30 on Saturday.
