[PHOTOS] A Rockin’ Afternoon At The THON 5k

The THON community came together Sunday for the annual THON 5k race. Students, parents, and kids of all ages attended the event to participate in the competitive run or the fun run, to see a special performance from Penn State favorite My Hero Zero, and to hop in on other fun activities.

If you weren’t able to make the trek this year, here’s a glimpse at the afternoon:

The Lionettes kicked off the Pep Rally before the race.
What’s faster than a ninja turtle? We’re still wondering.
Kicking off the Kids Run to start the day, these kids are superheroes with or without the capes.
The Nittany Lion even joined in on this year’s Kids Run.
And the competitive run begins!
The Fun Run takes off next.
Fun runners kicked off the race at their own paces.
Can you say royalty? Disney princesses met with the kids during the competitive and fun runs.
Committee members and spectators played cornhole while waiting for the runners to return.
Race to the finish!
Flipping in excitement
Tutus and costumes abound, the THON spirit was strong during the fun run.
Some THON orgs accepted an even greater challenge — running the 5k while carrying a child.
You can never see too many photos of the Nittany Lion with dogs. The Nittany Lion celebrated the event’s success with a little bit of ‘popcorn.’
My Hero Zero kicked off its performance with a bang.
Jamming out to My Hero Zero
The Nittany Lion also joined My Hero Zero on stage

We dance in 123!
