Spotted On Instagram: Dwyane Wade Loved Josh Reaves’ D-Wade Halloween Costume

They say imitation is the best form of flattery. If that’s the case, then you could say Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dwyane Wade was flattered by Penn State guard Josh Reaves’ imitation of him for Halloween.

It all began with a picture Wade posted with his wife, Gabrielle Union. The ever-clever Reaves decided it’d be the perfect way to go about Halloween with his significant other. Can you say “couples costume idea?” Here’s the result:

Happy Halloween! It wasn’t my idea???‍♂

A post shared by Josh Reaves (@jareaves23) on

The post gained some traction on Instagram, but the highlight came when Wade himself commented “dope” on Reaves’ Halloween replication. Then, the NBA legend took it a step further and reposted Reaves’ post on his own Instagram page.

We Love it!!!

With 89,000 likes on Wade’s repost (compared to 715 likes on Reaves’ initial post), we like to think Reaves gained a few followers out of the social media exchange.

Though he didn’t explicitly state it, Wade’s shoutout and repost of Reaves can be simply translated — Dwayne Wade is #climbing, baby.
