Schlow Moves Forward To ‘Eagleton 8’ For Leslie Knope Library Award

Schlow Centre Region Library will compete in the “Eagleton 8” round for the Leslie Knope Award, or as sbe would call it, the “Land of Rich, Snobby Jerks 8.”

Even though Leslie often rants about Eagleton so hard that she forgets to breathe and she passes out, she would likely approve of the top eight contenders for the award.

Schlow beat the Iowa City Public Library in the “Sweetums 16” round with 56 percent of the 2,231 votes between the pair. The downtown library will face off against the Pueblo City-County Library in Pueblo, Colorado to get into the final four.

Voting for the round of eight closes on Friday, February 16. New this round is visual voting: Any Eagleton 8 finalist can receive extra votes when you post a selfie in the library using #SelfieInTheStacks and mentioning its name in the caption. Voting for each round takes place every week until a winner is chosen the week of February 26.
