Penn State Libraries To Host Viewing & Activities During THON 2018 Final Four

Making your way to the Bryce Jordan Center to experience the final hours of THON is a great idea for anyone in Happy Valley this weekend. But what happens if the arena is at capacity when you walk up to the gates on Sunday? Well, head to the library — but not to hit the books.

Penn State Libraries announced earlier in the week they’ll host a viewing party for the final four hours of THON, in addition to putting up THON-themed activity stations in Paterno Library Sunday afternoon.

The library will offer exhibits that will display photos, memorabilia, and highlights from the past 45 years of THON. Games, trivia quizzes, coloring pages, and more will be available at these stations from noon to 4:30 p.m. in the Mann Assembly Room. There will also be prize giveaways for those in attendance.

The viewing party will take place from noon to 4 p.m. in Foster Auditorium, as the 46 LIVE stream will be shown on the big screen for anyone who can’t find their way inside the BJC before it reaches capacity. The auditorium provides a warm place for those across to migrate to during this snowy weather, while also creating another small community-style environment to cheer on the dancers as they enter the final stretch of THON 2018. We’re told there might even be sitting allowed.
