Water Main Break Closes Part Of South Pugh Street

The 100 block of South Pugh Street was closed on Sunday afternoon after a water main break.

The break happened around 1 p.m. and damaged the road, which remained closed as of 5 p.m. Pugh Street between East College Avenue and East Beaver Avenue will be closed to vehicles until further notice and drivers should use alternate routes.

Pugh Street Parking Garage will be closed as well. Vehicles currently parked there can exit through the entrance.

A limited number of businesses have been impacted by the water main break, according to State College Borough.

State College Borough Water Authority and State College Department of Public Works personnel were on the scene.
