Alumni Can Stay In Dorms During Arts Fest

If you’ve ever yearned for a return to your beloved freshman residence hall, missed the communal bathrooms and poorly lit hallways, or felt like showers as an adult are incomplete without a pair of flip-flops, you’re in luck.

Alumni can throw it back for a weekend and rent a room in West Halls during Arts Fest this summer, thanks to the Alumni Association.

If it’s been a few years for you, West Halls provides a convenient location near the festival’s Sidewalk Sale and Exhibition, as well as the usual entertainment located at the Festival Shell and Allen Street Stage.

Many other amenities are included as part of the Arts Festival Alumni Weekend. Alumni can park for free at the Nittany Parking Deck and enjoy a complimentary hot daily breakfast served in Waring Commons if they’re staying in the dorms, because who wouldn’t want West cookies for breakfast one last time? They’ll also receive an Arts Festival button that provides access to indoor performances and go on “Behind the Scenes” tours hosted by Arts Fest’s executive director and staff.

Other Alumni Weekend events throughout the weekend include career seminars, ice skating at Pegula Ice Arena, swimming at the outdoor pool at McCoy Natatorium, and a Creamery ice cream social on Saturday afternoon.

Arts Fest will take place from July 10-14. Registration for all of the Alumni Association’s festivities can be found here.
