Fans Gutted By Big Ten’s Fall Sports Postponement

After several days of speculation and rumors, the Big Ten announced Tuesday that it will cancel all fall sports, including football.

The conference’s decision will also affect women’s volleyball, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s cross country.

The Big Ten is evaluating “a number of options” for fall sports, including potentially rescheduling seasons for the spring. Plenty of Penn State fans were upset by the conference’s decision, but some still understand that it was likely the only option left.

Others were, well, just flat out pissed.

Along with some well-timed GIFs, one fan even took to TikTok to display just how upset he is that he won’t get to watch football this fall.

Through all of the sadness, one fan took to Twitter to remind folks the golden rule: wear a mask!

Despite the overall disappointment, one fan pointed out that the student-athlete’s safety should remain the number one concern.

Along with the concern for their health, plenty of fans still shared their disappointment for the student-athletes who worked tirelessly for their upcoming seasons. Others pointed out just how devastating the cancellation will be for small university towns like State College.
