Penn State Football Players Heartbroken Over Season Postponement

The Big Ten officially postponed fall sports on Tuesday afternoon due to the coronavirus pandemic, keeping Penn State football’s student-athletes off the gridiron until at least the spring.

Nittany Lion fans were quick to react on Twitter, expressing strong feelings of disappointment, anger, and, of course, sadness. But now that the dust has settled (a little), student-athletes are collecting their thoughts and taking to social media to air their thoughts about the season’s postponement.

QB1 was left feeling mostly nostalgic, sharing a message urging younger athletes to never take any part of the journey for granted.

Senior defensive tackle Antonio Shelton shared a similar sentiment, hoping to take the field in the fall.

Fred Hansard was clearly heartbroken, although he mixed in some humor in his most recent tweet.

Yeah…this one stings.

Lamont Wade seems to be looking ahead…

We’ll update this post as more players post their reactions.
