Penn State-Indiana To Kick Off At 3:30 P.M.

No. 9 Penn State football’s season opener against Indiana is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, October 24. The game will be broadcast on FS1.

The Nittany Lions announced the time and broadcast with a tweet Monday.

The Nittany Lions’ last matchup against the Hoosiers was a noon kickoff. James Franklin’s squad took down Indiana in Beaver Stadium last November 34-27 thanks to a methodical drive to close out the game. Franklin has yet to fall to the Hoosiers during his Penn State career, as he now holds a 6-0 record against them.

Penn State’s early season-opener against Indiana will be followed by a Halloween date with No. 6 Ohio State, which will likely get a prime-time slot under the lights at Beaver Stadium.

While folks will certainly have their minds on that highly anticipated week two contest, Indiana had a strong showing throughout the 2019 season. The Hoosiers finished with an 8-5 record and closed out their campaign with a trip to the Gator Bowl.

Penn State’s other kickoff times have yet to be announced. The Nittany Lions have eight other games on their schedule, including a regular season finale against a West division counterpart during the weekend of December 19.

Along with the Week One trip to Bloomington, Penn State’s other road games include battles with Nebraska, No. 19 Michigan, and Rutgers.
