Penn State Football Given 25/1 Odds To Win National Championship

The odds are in the Nittany Lions’ favor.

No. 8 Penn State football has the fifth-best odds to win the College Football Playoff, according to SuperBook Sports. The Nittany Lions open up with 25/1 odds, just a spot behind Georgia and one ahead of Florida and Notre Dame.

Alabama and Clemson remain the favorites with 8/5 and 9/4 odds, respectively. Consensus Big Ten favorite No. 5 Ohio State comes in with the third-best odds at 7/2. The Buckeyes will travel to Happy Valley for a Halloween matchup next Saturday. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

Three other Big Ten teams crack the list for the best odds. Big Ten West Division favorite Wisconsin comes in with 60/1 odds. PJ Fleck’s Minnesota squad is the only other team from that division mentioned at 100/1.

Michigan is the other Big Ten team on the list with gracious 80/1 odds to win the playoff. Penn State will travel to the Big House on November 28. The kickoff time has yet to be announced.

The Nittany Lions will try make the bettors happy starting this Saturday, October 24. James Franklin is set to open its season against Indiana at 3:30 p.m. on FS1.
