SPA To Host Actor Justin Baldoni For Virtual Lecture October 27

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) will host actor, director, and producer Justin Baldoni for a virtual lecture on Tuesday, October 27.

Baldoni’s virtual event will begin at 7 p.m. that night through a Zoom webinar. SPA said it’s working alongside WPSU Radio and Penn State’s World Campus to produce the stream.

Students will need to register for the lecture ahead of time online to receive their free tickets.

Baldoni is likely best known for starring in The CW’s “Jane The Virgin” from 2014 to 2019. Later on, he directed documentaries like “My Last Days” and films such as “Five Feet Apart,” which starred Cole Sprouse and grossed more than $90 million worldwide.

Additionally, Baldoni serves as chairman of the Wayfarer Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to educate communities on homelessness and provide support and resources to those who experience it. He also co-founded Wayfarer Entertainment in 2013 to help create content that “focuses on unity and human connection.”

Like all SPA events, Baldoni’s lecture is funded through Penn State’s student-initiated fee. Students will need to verify themselves using their Penn State IDs to access the stream.
