DraftKings Reportedly Refunding Penn State Bettors After Controversial Call

DraftKings will reportedly refund all money line bets on Penn State after a controversial overtime call in its defeat to Indiana, according to Action Network’s Darren Rovell.

The Nittany Lions fell to Indiana 36-35 in overtime after the Hoosiers converted on a two-point try to ice the game. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. scrambled to his left and just barely got the nose of the ball into the end zone to put the game away.

While many Penn State fans argued that the ball didn’t cross the plane, the refs confirmed their decision after an extensive review.

Penn State was favored by 6.5 points entering Saturday’s contest, and its money line odds were set at approximately -260. Those who took the Nittany Lions to win outright on DraftKings will reportedly be refunded in the form of site credits within the next 24 hours.

As for the Nittany Lions, they likely won’t be favored in their next contest. No. 5 Ohio State is coming to Happy Valley for a Halloween match up Saturday night. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and be broadcast on ABC.
