Another Power Outage Hits West Halls, Waring Commons

Penn State’s West Halls are experiencing yet another power outage, according to a handful of reports from students Thursday morning.

According to one McKee Hall resident, power shut off at approximately 11:30 a.m. Students in Thompson and Hamilton Halls also reported an outage.

About 10 minutes after power reportedly shut off, Penn State Dining temporarily closed all locations in Waring Commons due to the outage. It did not provide an approximate time when power could be restored.

Local dispatches didn’t provide a possible cause for the outage.

Penn State did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the reported outages.

Last Saturday, West Halls residents were without power for about three hours due to a similar outage that affected most dorms and Waring Commons.

We’ll update this post with more information as it becomes available.
