Michal Menet Accepts Reese’s Senior Bowl Invite

Penn State football offensive lineman Michal Menet will take make the trip to Mobile, Alabama this year for the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Menet is the third Nittany Lion to accept an invite so far, joining Shaka Toney and Tariq Castro-Fields.

The Pennsylvania native is the first Penn State offensive lineman to accept a Senior Bowl invite since Donovan Smith in 2015. Last year, defensive lineman Robert Windsor and linebacker Cam Brown were the Nittany Lions’ only participants.

Menet has started every game for Penn State this year in what is his third season as starting center. Additionally, he was named a team captain before the season for the second straight year.

Last season, Menet started all 13 games and anchored a Penn State offensive line that helped the team finish No. 4 in the Big Ten in rushing yards per game. Additionally, the Nittany Lions’ offense finished No. 2 in the conference with 35.8 points per game.

Each year, the Senior Bowl gives college football prospects the chance to show off their skills in front of NFL front offices and coaches ahead of the NFL draft. This year’s game will kick off January 30, 2021, at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
