Penn State To Hold 50/50 Raffle To Benefit Centre County United Way

Penn State students and staff are invited to participate in a 50/50 raffle in support of the Centre County United Way.

Community members can visit the online raffle platform to purchase tickets, which start at 10 entries for $10. Tickets can be purchased until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 17. The drawing will take place at 9 p.m. the same night.

One winner will be randomly selected to win half of the money raised by ticket sales. The remaining proceeds will be donated to the Centre County United Way.

Centre County United Way has been Penn State’s charity of choice for more than 40 years. The organization brings together 28 partner agencies across Centre County to provide community members with the basic elements that everyone needs for a good life: education, food, shelter, income, good health, and a strong support system.

Every year, one in three Centre County residents access the programs and services funded by the United Way. Support from the Penn State community makes up more than 40% of the total amount raised for the organization each year.

For more information, or to learn how can you support the organization, visit the Centre County United Way website.
