Tell Us You’re A Penn Stater…Without Telling Us You’re A Penn Stater

Following Twitter’s latest trend, we recently asked you to tell us you’re a Penn Stater without literally telling us you’re a Penn Stater, and you certainly impressed us.

Penn State is sometimes referred to as a “cult” for its traditions and out-of-context passions that outsiders just wouldn’t understand. These tweets sum up the university’s culture pretty well.

We received hundreds of submissions and compiled a list of our favorites below. From local restaurant obsessions to an obnoxious (read: passionate) sports fanbase, Penn Staters are loud and proud about everything close to their heart.

Favorite Restaurants

We all have that one spot in State College that feels like home. For some, it’s Old Main Lawn. For others, it’s a taco stand in a tiny alley. Either way, these State College joints are for Penn Staters only.

The Willard Preacher

Do you even go to Penn State if you haven’t been yelled at by the Willard Preacher? No matter how you feel about everyone’s favorite missionary, the Preacher is a Penn State icon.
