Your Best Penn State-Themed Holiday Decorations

Happy holidays, Penn State!

A few weeks ago, we asked to see your best Penn State-themed holiday decorations, and you certainly delivered. No matter what, Penn Staters truly go all out for the Nittany Lions.

With that said, buckle up for some blue and white holiday cheer as you peruse some of our favorite submissions.

Josh Rose

“My wife went to Ohio State,” Rose said. “So, I think the motivation for this particular section of the tree is pretty obvious.”

We hear you, John. Living in an Ohio State family is tough, especially when the Buckeyes keep deciding to be good at football (or at least better than Penn State). Hopefully, some Penn State decorations will keep the cheerful vibes up.

Lindsey Gangler

“For years, my mom has been sending me and my husband these ornaments every year. Every year we get a new one,” Gangle said. “They are too heavy for my Christmas tree, so I always display them together like this.”

Nice stuff, Lindsay! We’re particularly big fans of Santa’s decked-out Penn State vehicles. Who knew he drove a convertible, sleigh, firetruck, and a blimp?

Brian Linderman

“I bought the mug at the Student Bookstore in 1995 and add a Santa hat to make it a Christmas decoration,” Linderman said.

We bet anything out of this holiday mug tastes like victory…409 of them, to be exact.

Jeff Homady

“This is how we decorate every year,” Homady told Onward State. “The tree has blue and white flashing lights. Please note the football helmet for a star, the Barbie doll loving her some Nittany Lion on the left of the tree, and the diplomas behind the nativity.”

A whole Penn State-themed tree? Way to go, Homady family. Having enough Nittany Lion ornaments to fill an entire tree is quite an accomplishment.

Vincent & Arroyo Gray

The Grays put up this fabulous Penn State-themed tree every year, and we can’t blame them. It’s a beaut!

Theresa Williams

Penn State-themed trees really never miss, do they? Each is different but beautiful in their own unique ways thanks to one common trait: a love for Penn State.
