‘Happy Valley Takeout Trail’ Launches To Help Local Restaurants
The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, Lion Country Lodging, and other community partners launched a new initiative to help support local businesses in State College, Bellefonte, and more during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The initiative, dubbed the “Happy Valley Takeout Trail,” provides people with incentives to support their favorite local businesses while also bringing attention to some of the lesser-known restaurants. Happy Valley Takeout Trail is supported by Downtown State College Improvement District, Downtown Bellefonte Inc., Bellefonte Intervalley Area Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County, and Philipsburg Revitalization Corp.
Dozens of Happy Valley favorites, including Canyon Pizza, the Corner Room, Doggie’s Pub, Otto’s Pub & Brewery, and many more, are participating in the event.
Diners can get free passports from the organizations and from participating restaurants. Passport holders must attend 10 different restaurants to be eligible for the four Happy Valley prize package seasonal drawings, which include a gift card to the Happy Valley Takeout Trail restaurant of their choosing. In-house seating also counts toward the drive.
Completed passports get returned to Edward Stoddard of the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, 800 E. Park Ave., State College, Pa. 16803. You can find the full list of participating restaurants and businesses online.
