Penn State Field Hockey Releases Spring Schedule

Following a long offseason, Penn State field hockey will officially return to action this spring.

The team will embark on a 14-game, conference-only season starting in late February.

The Nittany Lions will begin their season with four neutral site games at Virginia Beach. Nine Big Ten teams will join them there, likely for the warmer weather.

Later, Penn State will return to Happy Valley to begin a series of six home games and four road games through the end of April.

Here’s a full look at Penn State’s upcoming schedule:

  • vs. Michigan, February 26 (at Virginia Beach)
  • vs. Iowa, February 28 (at Virginia Beach)

Iowa will host the Big Ten Tournament from April 20 to 24.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the Big Ten Conference for working so hard to put together an outstanding schedule under these circumstances,” head coach Char Morett-Curtiss said. “We’re excited to face this schedule, which gives us the chance to compete in one of the nation’s top field hockey conferences.”

Should the team follow the same Big Ten guidelines used for other sports, fans won’t attend games in person. Start times and television broadcast designations will be announced as they become available this month.
