Penn State Opens Registration For In-Person Spring Intramural Sports

Penn State intramural sports are back! Well…sort of. But this time, there are four more options for in-person activities.

In-person intramural sports will include some returning activities like bocce ball and cornhole, as well as four new options for the spring: pickleball, badminton, table tennis, and horseshoes.

Seasons for badminton, horseshoes, pickleball, and table tennis will stretch from March 1 to March 18. Bocce ball and cornhole’s, meanwhile, will span from March 1 to April 8.

A number of virtual leagues will also return, including games like Hearthstone, Madden NFL 21, MLB: The Show 20 & 21, Rocket League, Settlers of Catan, Words With Friends 2, FIFA21, Fornite, NBA 2K21, NHL 21, and UNO. Most leagues are available on Xbox or Playstation platforms.

Registration for in-person sports will close at 8 p.m. on February 25. Registration for most virtual events opens at 8 a.m. on February 22 and closes at 5 p.m. on March 4.
