Penn State Homecoming Announces 2021 Theme: ‘Together, State Prevails’

Penn State Homecoming took over THON 2021’s livestream early Saturday morning to announce its 2021 theme, “Together State Prevails.”

“Our theme, to me, reflects not only our organization itself but the world as a whole during times of hardships,” one executive committee member said on the livestream. “It represents taking experiences from the past and moving forward toward a brighter future.”

This year’s Homecoming will be held from Sunday, October 17, through Saturday, October 23. The festivities will culminate with Penn State football’s clash with Illinois at Beaver Stadium that afternoon.

Next year’s THON theme will be announced during Homecoming’s parade on Friday, October 22, as per tradition.

Homecoming 2020’s theme, “Envisioning Nittany Horizons,” even made this year’s line dance, as “New horizons we envision // serve and celebrate tradition” worked its way into the Penn State verse.
