Flu Clinics Open For Student Vaccinations
Penn State University Health Services (UHS) is opening up two additional flu vaccine clinics on Wednesday, February 24, and Thursday, February 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the HUB and in the Alumni Hall.
Vaccines are by appointment via myUHS only. You can make your appointment here.
UHS noted that it is important to get your flu vaccine, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The cost for a flu vaccine is $25 and is payable via the Bursar’s office or with insurance. To make sure students have access to the flu vaccine, the Student Fee Board has put money toward vaccines for over 4,500 students, with 1,629 free flu shots still available.
UHS has released some pre-arrival requirements for students interested in getting vaccinated, which include the following:
- Go to “forms” in myUHS and make sure the “Consent to Treat,” Notice of Privacy Practices,” and the Student Account Billing and Financial Aid Statement have been completed.
- Go to “Insurance Cards” and upload your health insurance card. If there is no insurance on file, charges will be billed to your student account.
Students are required to bring their Penn State IDs to each appointment. For more information about the flu clinics, you can click here.
