Stuck With A Cardboard Cutout? Take It On A Walk Around Campus!

There are two things I love in this world: THON…and myself. When THON announced students could buy cardboard cutouts to sit in the Bryce Jordan Center during THON Weekend, it just made sense for me to buy one.

After stealing retrieving my cardboard cutout back once THON Weekend was over, I didn’t know what to do with it. It sat in my living room watching TV with me and my friends for a while. However, I thought she deserved a self-care day out around campus, and I already paid so damn much for it!

I thought, “Why not show her around campus?”…So I did just that.

The first place we stopped was the THON store to pick up some much-needed merch. Remember, THON never ends. It is every day, folks.

Next, we took a break at the HUB’s iconic “High School Musical” steps. My cardboard cutout has never seen “High School Musical” (gasp), but she appreciated being able to sit among the students and feel like one of them.

To feel even more like a student, we took a study break and got some work done in a computer lab. The grind does NOT stop for anyone, even those made of cardboard.

Once we were done with our homework, I decided it was time to take a ride around campus on the legendary Blue Loop!

What type of Penn Stater would I be if I didn’t show my guest Old Main? We trekked across a snowy, windy campus to visit the iconic building. (Note: I totally didn’t almost let my cardboard cutout blow away…)

Suddenly, one of us got a little hungry and decided it was time to go to the Creamery. My cardboard cutout picked out a pint of Peanut Butter Swirl. What a great choice!

Since we were already so close, we checked out Beaver Stadium. Oh, to be a Beaver Stadium cardboard cutout…

Finally, we completed our day at the Lion Shrine! My cardboard cutout had a great time on campus but has since decided she will happily continue her life in the corner of my living room. Oh, well.
