Penn State Lacrosse Ranked No. 12 In USILA, Inside Lacrosse Polls

Penn State men’s lacrosse (1-2) climbed multiple spots to No. 12 in this week’s Inside Lacrosse rankings and USILA Coaches Poll.

The Nittany Lions climbed two spots in the Coaches Poll after a No. 14 ranking last week, while they jumped all the way up from No. 15 in the Inside Lacrosse poll.

This week’s jump comes after Jeff Tambroni’s team earned its first win of the season over the weekend. Penn State took down then-No. 12 Ohio State in an exciting, high-scoring affair. The Nittany Lions earned a 15-13 victory thanks to five goals from TJ Malone, four from Dylan Foulds, and a final score from Mac O’Keefe to secure the win.

The Buckeyes remain in both polls at No. 15, while other Big Ten squads ranked include Maryland (No. 3) and Rutgers (No. 4). Johns Hopkins fell out of this week’s ranking, while Michigan is off to an 0-3 start.

Penn State’s conference-only schedule rolls on this weekend as it travels to Baltimore to take on the Blue Jays. That contest will start at noon this Saturday and be broadcast on ESPN. From there, the Nittany Lions will wrap up the first half of their slate at Michigan on Saturday, March 20.
