Lady Lions Adds Transfer Guard Alli Campbell From Notre Dame

Penn State women’s basketball added some fresh blood to its roster Monday night when freshman guard Alli Campbell officially announced that she was transferring from Notre Dame to join the Lady Lions.

The 6′ guard played in only six games for the Fighting Irish, when she averaged 2.2 points per game and 1.7 rebounds a game. She will hopefully have a bigger impact on the court next season for Penn State.

The Altoona native was ranked No. 25 overall for the Class of 2020 and racked up several state awards throughout high school. She was also a finalist to play on Team USA in the U-17 World Cup.

Campbell also has connections with Anna Camden and Maddie Burke. All three of them played on the Philadelphia Belles U-17 team, which went on to claim the U-17 platinum title in Indianapolis. In fact, Camden’s mom was very happy about Campbell’s decision to transfer to Happy Valley.

If Ms. Camden is excited, Lady Lions fans should be hyped, too.
