Penn State Sayings As Inspirational Quote Posters

“Believe deep down in your heart that you’re destined to do great things.” — Joe Paterno

One of the most recognizable and well-known quotes from one of the most recognizable and well-known Penn Staters, this saying can often be found hanging in a Penn State student’s apartment in the form of posters, tapestries, and other decors.

However, we thought that Penn State more quotes from notable figures that deserved to be recognized and slapped onto a scenic, picturesque landscape. Check out some of the most unique quotes below.

‘The Blue Loop: Serving Campus And Downtown Via College Avenue’ — CATA

Despite worries that the coronavirus pandemic would curb Blue Loop service for the time being, thankfully, the route was reinstated in Early October. Although the White Loop serving campus and downtown via Beaver Avenue has yet to return, we could listen to the Blue Loop’s recording all day.

‘Ding Ding Ding Ding, Ding Ding Ding Ding’ — Old Main

Everyone’s favorite bell tower deserves to have its majestic tones immortalized in the form of an inspirational quote. Folks living on campus and downtown can always look to Old Main to find some sort of solace and reminder of the time.

‘If You Can’t Get Laid At Penn State, You Won’t Get Laid Anywhere’ — The Willard Preacher

The Willard Preacher is a man who wields the power to consistently turns heads on campus. His rants about sinning, sex, and everything in between quite honestly deserve their own book, and his quotes deserve their spot in any Penn Stater’s home.

James Franklin’s ‘Elite’ Speech

One of the most well-known speeches from the James Franklin era never ceases to inspire those who’ve had the fortune to read or listen to it. Although it brings back painful memories of the infamous 4th & 5 play, we always feel motivated to get out and be ~elite~ whenever we read it.

‘They’re A Bunch Of Fuckers’ — Bill O’Brien

This is easily one of the most memorable quotes from the Bill O’Brien era. The head coach let the F-bomb slip on national television, effectively sealing a legendary quote into Penn State history.

Despite some people claiming O’Brien said “fighters,” this quote captures the grit and passion of the Penn State football team during such a difficult era.
