‘Cowboys Got A Great One’: Philly-Penn State Fans Conflicted, Proud Of Micah Parsons

Micah Parsons is officially a Dallas Cowboy.

The former star Penn State football linebacker was drafted No. 12 overall by Dallas in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft Thursday night. He now becomes the first Nittany Lion taken in the first round since Saquon Barkley in 2018, and the first Penn State defensive player taken in the first round since Jared Odrick in 2010.

Nittany Lion fans are certainly proud of the Harrisburg native, but it’s safe to say some Philly folks are a bit conflicted about the star’s new home.

Keep in mind, fans can watch Parsons take on star running backs Miles Sanders and Saquon Barkley four times a year.

Oh by the way, he’ll now carry on a Nittany Lion legacy in Dallas from the recently retired Sean Lee.

Either way, how can you not be proud of a fellow Nittany Lion?

Saquon knows!

And Trace!

Parsons was certainly pretty comfortable in AT&T Stadium last time he was there
