Penn State Men’s Hockey’s U.S. Hockey Hall Of Fame Game Still On, Full Capacity Expected

After being postponed one year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game between Penn State and North Dakota is expected to be held at full capacity this fall.

The game is set for Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

The University of North Dakota’s athletics department announced the game was still on as scheduled after the Metro Public Health Department recently announced that all COVID-19 restrictions, including the use of face coverings, have been lifted in Nashville. That should allow Bridgestone Arena to host about 17,500 fans.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to confirm our Nashville game next season,” said UND hockey coach Brad Berry. “The Nashville destination game is going to be a great return to normalcy for all of us.”

The matchup is set to be a historic one for Guy Gadowsky’s program as the first meeting between the Nittany Lions and Fighting Hawks. North Dakota finished this past season ranked No. 1 in the final USCHO poll while being eliminated in the second round of the 2021 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament.

Fans who purchased tickets for the 2020 event in Nashville will have their tickets carry over to the 2021 game. Fans with tickets do not need to take action, as both mobile and physical tickets will be valid for the game. A limited number of tickets are still available for purchase here.
